Is it my audio driver? or Multi-feature Audio Control Pod for my 2.1 speaker system?

Ok so my Multi-feature Audio Control Pod has a problem.

well first of all, let me tell u the speaker system i am using...

i am using a 2.1 speaker system, that means with 2 speakers,

and 1subwoofer, the brand name of my speaker system is

Creative Labs Inspire T2900 2.1 Speaker System!!!

we had it since nov of 2003, and the volume, when i bring it up, or high, it works fine, but now its weird, when i bring the volume higher, it always fades in...i dont think its from the dust, so dont bother with that, everything gets dusty, i tried unplugging it,and plugging it back in, and still the same, i dont think its from the itunes that i am using, i dont care what version it is, its not from it, its the Multi-feature Audio Control Pod that comes with it!

and what that is that it turns on the power, you can change the bass level, the volume, its nice. but how can i troubleshoot this.

and its not the audio driver, why would it be the audio driver?

Remember, i am using Realtek AC' 97Is it my audio driver? or Multi-feature Audio Control Pod for my 2.1 speaker system?
