I have no clue whats going on. I just had to get a new hard drive for my lap top and I had to install windows xp home edition. Well when I go to my control panel to add an audio device I can't. It won't let me click to add volume to task bar, or apply any kind of volume. I'm really confused and feel like throwing this computer across the room. Can anyone help me get sound? Thanks! :DMy control panel won't let me add an audio device?
click on start go to control panel look to see if you have a speaker if not click on add hardware and follow directions and it should find the sound card otherwise go add and remove hardware and remove all audio devices and reinstall them.
