Toshiba Satellite A70 S249 Laptop with xp Audio driver Realtak AC97My audio volume is too low. I can hardly hear it. The volume control is on maximum?
I am not familiar with this laptop, however most laptops have a ';hardware'; sound level(controlled by keys on the keyboard) which works independently of the windows sound levels (as adjusted by start-%26gt;control panel-%26gt;sounds and audio devices

If you are using Windows:





First check in Audio Properties, make sure your WAV volume is up, also make sure your speaker setup is correct.





Also, If you have a 2.1 or 5.1 or 7.1 card and speaker system and you are attempting to view a DVD movie that uses Dolby, you should check in advanced settings of the Media Player to ensure you have levels set correctly in there.
did you check the volume control under the start program (the more expanded one) or check to see if the spot where the speaker wire plugs in your computer came loose somehow. Also if there's a volume spot on your speaker check that.





EDIT: actualy just noticed you had a laptop, if the speakers are internal try the blowing on the speakers as dust may have settled in them or if you have it the can of air works best......if all else fails lightly tap the area of the speaker as something may have come loose inside and you may be able to knock it back in place.
You should restore your computer or restart it. Try both. Hpe this helps!
