emachines, T-series T-2040. Audio tab default says modem, sound playback(modem), hardware tab(does not have device for and audio devices. i have tried all of these things. My dell has in default devices, Soundmax integrated digital audio and sound blaster live 24 bit. i used my cd that came with my dell to install the audio devices on friends pc, but still no luck. also, the is no audio icon to adjust for sound. volume tab in properties is completely gray can not acces.In control panel sound and audio properties the volume tab page is gray no information?
sounds like your audio card may not be working properly
