How can you adjust audio controls on a Kenwood 5140?

I just bought a Kenwood 5140, connected to monoamp going to sub, and 4 channel amp going to speakers.

My problem is that I cannot adjust the bass level on the sub. When I go into audio controls it shows that it is ';locked';. Also in the setup menu it says there is no subwoofer attached, and it does not allow me to change that option.

My sub is toooooo loud, I need to turn down the bass!

Also, when the navigation is speaking, it will turn off the music, but the subwoofer will keep playing. HELP!How can you adjust audio controls on a Kenwood 5140?
so u likely have front - rear - and sub rca outputs, you say during a call frt and real mute but not the sub, the sub is non fade so subs will allways play.

my deck has sub level controls o to + 10 or something like that, the locked function may be a lock out to keep people from messing with the system, so you need to refer to your manual or find one online via google or ask someone who knows or has one, see if Kenwood has a board to ask this.

now u say the sub is too loud this could be from deck settings or the gain on the amp is sett to high and not mixing with the front and rear speakers, my advice is if the amps gain is set above 1/4 you need to turn it all the way down and slowly turn it up until it mixes to sound natural with the front speakers.

get the manual and learn the settings, there is a function call the loudness button that will raise the bass tone, all so see if the sub and amp are too overbearing on the mids and highs via the gain on the amp.How can you adjust audio controls on a Kenwood 5140?
sounds like your amp isn't using the sub output of your head unit. Which is why it's locked. It's probably just using the front/rear output and has a crossover internally.
