The audio will not play in my speakers, i go to control panel and click sounds and it says no audio device why

Have you changed your hardware recently? got a new computer?

Have you reinstalled or upgraded windows recently?

Do you have on board sound? or a PCI slot sound card?

Whichever, or even if not one of those, the best thing to do is go to the website of your motherboard manufacturer and get the drivers for it. If you have a PCI sound card (one that slots in and is purchased separately) then go to that manufacturer's website.

Once you install the drivers, your PC will ';know'; what sound device you have.

He posted while I was typing mine. His suggestion is good to do also in checking ';devices'; too to see if something matches up.The audio will not play in my speakers, i go to control panel and click sounds and it says no audio device why
if the control panel says that there is no audio device then that means that either there is no sound card driver installed in the pc, or that the sound card driver installed (file) was damaged.

check under devices, if you find that sound card [make sure that you have the driver cd first] the remove* the card

restart

and add* the card again [to install driver]

[*=control panel add/remove hardware]
