I am trying to decide between the Kenwood (KRFX9090D) Audio/Video Control Center and the Kenwood (KRF-X9080D) Digital Audio/Video Receiver. However, I do not know the difference betwen the receiver and the control center. If I could be explained the difference, then I would be able to make a more educated buy. Thank you. What is the difference between Audio/Video receivers and Audio/Video control centers?
A control center switches between sources under the control of control keypads, usually Data driven and needs an outboard multi-channel amplifier.
A receiver switches between sources as well, however, the control is via a remote control, and it has an internal amplifier.
';Receiver'; simply means it ';receives'; AM and FM.What is the difference between Audio/Video receivers and Audio/Video control centers?
the only difference is the name control center vs. receiver!
