I installed an audio driver,but still, no audio device was found in the control panel?

i installed realtek HD driver..


please help me..

if you go to the notification bar (bottom right) press the arrow and go to the red speaker. Right Click, go to sound manager. On the right there is a folder image (top right) click it. Make sure the bottom one is ticked and the top one isn't and click OK!


Or go to the advance settings and select the top one and Press OK!


Other wise just change some settings in here and see if it works. Im running vista.


P.S. This screen can also be opened by going to: Start%26gt;Control Panel%26gt;Classic View (top left)%26gt;Sound (Fiddle In Here as well)


Or make sure you have performed your latest system updates.
it's possible you have the wrong driver installed, check device manager to see if there is an unknown device on your system.





on windows xp, goto my computer on your desktop, right click on it, then select manage that will open up computer management, then select device manager, look for a device with a yellow esclamation mark on top of it, if you find one then it means you need a driver update for that particular device. that's propably the cause of this problem.
