I have a Samsung LN40A550 1080p LCD HDTV. However, the TV speaker is not good as I expect. So I mute the TV speakers and connect the audio output with external speakers. The problem is that I cannot use the TV remote control to adjust the level of the volume anymore. It seems that the TV remote volume control only works for the TV speakers rather than the output audio signal.
Anyone gets some ideas?
Thank you
-DanielHow to control the volume when I output the audio?
After looking at your manual, your tv doesn't have a variable output option. You need to use an amp (or receiver) then change the volume on that. You could use powered speakers (like from a computer) but you'd have to manually raise/lower the volume. SorryHow to control the volume when I output the audio?
Dan - What most people do is feed the audio out to a home theater receiver which would have its own volume control.
I assume the speakers are powered speakers with an amp built in like computer speakers? If so, they should have a volume control but it will not be too convenient.
