How to add applications to sound and audio devices in XPs Control Panel?

A lot of applications are not listed in the sounds tab of the ';Sounds and Audio Devices Properties'; box used in Control Panel for XP service pack 2. As well a number of events that sounds can be tied to are not listed. For example ';Outlet Express'; is not listed and for the application MS Money the ';Launch'; event is not listed.


Any help would be greatly appreciated. This has irritated me for a LONG time.

The sound settings for any program that are not listen in the Control Panel sounds, will be found in the programs themselves...





For outlook express you can set a sound for ';New Mail'; which IS found in the control panel sounds...





Aside from that, you can set sounds for maximizing items and minimizing items, and else that you see...





But if a program isnt listed, and if the program itself does not have options for changing sound in its own options, you cannot set a sound for it...
