How do I re-install an audio driver without control panel?

My audio driver is having significant problems, one of which causes the uninstall wizard to exit when I try to remove it in control panel. I have to re-install this driver in order for it to function properly. On windows XP, is there a way to do it without using control panel? How do I re-install an audio driver without control panel?
